Students participating the course are organized in groups where they work together and without supervision on a given project. Students are expected to report the status of the work regularly and to consult problems they encounter if necessary. In this course, students will acquire a deeper understanding of principles of distributed and parallel systems as well as practical experience in the desing and implementation of parallel systems. Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka probíhá formou samostatné práce ve skupinách po max 3-4 lidech na zadaném projektu. Během prvních 14 dní výuky si každá skupina se souhlasem vyučujícího zvolí téma projektu. Během semestru probíhá samostatná práce na projektu a konzultace k jednotlivým projektům. Zhruba v půli semestru proběhne krátká prezentace aktuálního stavu práce na projektu ostatním skupinám. V závěru semestru pak, každá skupina prezentuje svůj projekt ostatním skupinám. Pro udělení zápočtu je nutné projekt úspěšně dokončit, což znamená předvést 100% funkční implementaci, odpovídající dokumentaci k implementaci a odevzdat závěrečnou hodnotící zprávu.
