- Course objectives
- Understanding landscape, artistic and photographic interpretations of landscape. Conceptual interpretations and experimental approaches: Drawing - drawing of the landscape, linear and atmospheric perspective, frottage, experimental drawing, drawing as a record. Photography - photographing landscapes, work with color filters and exposition. Conceptual projects - land art, site specific installation, experimental typography. The introduction of theoretical ad historical context of discussed creative strategies.
- Syllabus
- Fine Art: Drawing, painting, land art, aquarell and other art activities in open air. Landscape perspective: linear, aerial, coloured. Drawing of trees and plants. City landscape. Architectural detail. Figure drawing, collage (in the case of bad weather).
- Photography: Landscape photography. Water in the landscape. People and landscape. Document. Photo reportage.
- Film section: Working with video in the landscape.
- Visit of an artistic studio and a city with the significant architectural heritage. Cognition of a countryside.
- (Work day: Starts at 9 a.m; 6 working hours; work review in the evening.)
- The best students works are exhibited in the No Name Gallery in the beginning of fall semester.
