Course objectives
The course aims to introduce students to the knowledge and skills they will need to perform their work on a daily or weekly basis. Students can work as a software engineer, UI/UX or frontend developer, database systems architect, tester, DevOps engineer, or in the software systems or mobile application development field.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the internship, students should have increased quialifications in software engineering, including an understanding of the deeper context needed when working on large-scale software projects.
Syllabus
  • The internship consists of practice in an organization (company, public institution, etc.) whose activity corresponds to the focus of the studied field.
  • Students arrange the internship themselves in an IT company (or in an IT department).
  • The internship can start at any time within 1 year after the internship proposal is approved (i.e. not necessarily during the semester). It must then completed within 1 year from starting the internship, but no later than 10 days before the end of the exam period in the semester in which you plan to receive credit for the internship.
  • It is important to follow and meet the deadlines for submitting documents (forms) listed in the Important Information folder in the study materials of this course in IS.

Teaching methods
Internship in a business organization. Work on real-life projects with service orientation. Comparation of learned theory with practice. Feedback elaboration.
Assessment methods
Colloquium for interim and final documents submitted on time during and after the internship.
