- Abstract
- The course aims to acquire knowledge about the taxonomy of combatives and gymnastics, structure and use of preparatory combatives and gymnastics exercises as a means of motor abilities and skills development in physical education and sport.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student:
- knows and can explain the taxonomy of combatives and gymnastic disciplines; - can define the biomechanical structure of preparatory combatives and gymnastic exercises;
- can explain the effect of basic combatives and gymnastics exercises on movement skills development;
COMBATIVES
- independently applies the principles of creating basic combatives;
- understands and can explain the principles of the falling technique;
- can practically demonstrate eight exercises from basic movements for the development of selected movement skills;
- will practically demonstrate six basic fall techniques in all directions.
GYMNASTICS
The student:
- is able to design and lead the introductory part of a training session in accordance with fundamental principles.
- possesses a repertoire of exercises aimed at developing coordination and rhythmic abilities.
- demonstrates knowledge of, and the ability to integrate, various forms of gymnastic preparation into physical education and sports training.
is competent in the use of gymnastic apparatus (benches, wall bars, balance beams, hanging bars, vaulting box, rope) and diverse equipment (e.g., balance aids) within the context of physical education and sports training.
- is able to provide basic feedback on different types of exercises.
- demonstrates fundamental gymnastic skills (forward roll, backward roll, handstand, cartwheel, rope climbing, pull-ups, push-ups), applies essential didactic approaches to these skills, and is proficient in the basics of assistance and spotting.

- COMBATIVES
1. Theoretical test:
- will verify knowledge of the systematics of battles and the biomechanics of preparatory battles
2nd practical test:
- presentation of min. eight exercises from basic movements for the development of selected movement skills
- demonstration of six basic fall techniques in all directions (fall forward with a flip without stopping, falling forward with a flip with a stop, fall forward without a flip without a stop, fall to the side, fall backwards with a flip without a stop, fall backwards without a flip with a stop )
GYMNASTICS
Assessment Methods
Continuous assessment through the completion of partial tasks during the semester, including the development of a portfolio of exercises aimed at improving motor abilities (coordination, rhythm, strength).
Evaluation of practical performance based on required gymnastic skills and exercises.
Verification of knowledge of fundamental preparatory exercises for each practical requirement.
