Course objectives
Softball is a game of 2 teams who swap their roles during the match - at bat and in the field. Batters attack with the aim to get points and fielders try to stop the rivals to score and also try to out them. The course tries to train basic softball skills. Students accomplish basic softball rules and skills - to catch, to bat, to move along the bases and to out.

  • 1 lesson -softball history, the differences between softball and baseball, international competitions and organisations 1 lesson - softball rules 1 lesson - aims of players (particular functions), safety measures 1 lesson - the trainig structure 1 lesson - lowball, highball 1 lesson - catch 1 lesson - bat 2 lessons - preparatory games 1 lesson - test Practice 1 lesson - passing 1 lesson - catching 1 lesson - batting 1 lesson - move along the bases 4 lessons - preparatory drill exercises 2 lessons - trainig of the game situations 1 lesson - pitching

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Podmínkou zápočtu je: test pravidel softballu 66% Zápočet student získá za docházku v uvedené kvalitě: 1 x je možné neomluveně chybět 2 x absence z důvodu nemoci 3 x je možné nahradit zameškanou výuku v průběhu zk. období Současně musí student absolvovat více než 50% přímou docházkou v semestrální výuce. Tutorial assessed with a credit The credit is given to students for the attendance of a certain quality: more than 50% of the direct attendance is required - 1 possible absence without apology - 2 more possible absences with the list of apology - 3 more lessons can be compensated during the examination time
