Course objectives
The aim of the course Fundamentals of diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders I. is to present students with manual diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. At the same time, students should master basic manual techniques and be able to professionally and successfully applied in practice, and thus their ability to actively search for pathology and to choose a suitable method of therapy. Students also manage to perform client education and training autotherapy. Individual blocks subject are logically connected and should gradually give students a comprehensive overview of the diagnosis and treatment of all components of the motor system of man. It is therefore a diagnosis and treatment of skin, subcutaneous tissue, fascia, periostových points in muscles and joints in the relevant areas. Preliminary Block Diagnosis and therapy of musculoskeletal disorders I have to explain the introduction to the subject and continues manual diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in the lower limbs and pelvis.
Syllabus
  • Introduction into the subject, history, kinesiology analysis, explanations of concepts and techniques. Diagnosis and treatment of skin, subcutaneous tissue and fascia in the lower limbs. Diagnosis and therapy periostových points and muscles in the feet and lower leg area, including relaxation techniques postizometric PIR. Diagnosis and Therapy - mobilization techniques in the distal interphalangeal, proximal interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints legs. Diagnosis and Therapy - mobilization techniques in Lisfranckova and Chopartova joint. Diagnosis and Therapy - mobilization techniques of the lower and upper ankle joint of the foot. Diagnosis and therapy periostových points and muscles in the proximal tibiofibular joint and knee, including relaxation techniques postizometric PIR. Diagnosis and Therapy - mobilization techniques in the knee joint. Diagnosis and therapy periostových points and the muscles in the hip, including relaxation techniques postizometric PIR. Diagnosis and Therapy - mobilization techniques in the area of ​​the hip joint. Diagnosis and therapy periostových points and muscles of the pelvis and sacroiliac joint, including relaxation techniques postizometric PIR. Diagnosis and Therapy - mobilization techniques in the pelvis and sacroiliac joint.

Teaching methods
Practical training - demonstrations of diagnostic and therapeutic methods and teacher training students in pairs.
Assessment methods
Written examination test to evaluate theoretical knowledge neccessary for practical tuition at the beginning of classes. One partial practical examination during the term. Final written test and summary practical examination. Graded credit.
