- Course objectives
- After successful completion of the course, the student will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking. He will be able to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate equipment and weapons for these activities. He will have knowledge of exercise and nutrition prevention in the winter environment for individual age categories, with special emphasis on children and youth.
- Learning outcomes
- After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
- demonstrate basic knowledge of movement on cross-country skis and snowshoes;
- distinguish between suitable and unsuitable equipment and equipment for winter physical activities, including hiking;
- characterize models of increasing physical fitness of individual age categories, with special attention to children's categories, as prevention of overweight and obesity;
- distinguish between the level of physical load during winter activities and the connection to the cardiovascular system. - Syllabus
- Practical training:
- 1. Cross-country skiing with classic technique.
- 2. Cross-country skiing with free technique.
- 3. Walking on snowshoes.
- 4. Winter hiking.
- Theoretical lectures:
- 1. History of skiing and other winter sports, equipment and equipment.
- 2. Movement and nutritional prevention of obesity.
- 3. Forms of increasing physical fitness of individual age categories, specifics of sports disciplines (length of performance, injuries and injury prevention, load intensity).

- Teaching methods
- Practical exercises in the ski resort. Teaching is carried out in a practical form in small groups of the winter training course. Evening theoretical lectures.

- Written test of 20 questions valued at 20 points. You need to reach at least 16 to pass.
