Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to become familiar with general methods of working with the client in the framework of counseling in the field of nutrition and lifestyle. Provide a comprehensive overview of current and used nutritional trends in the field of nutrition used as part of a lifestyle change. A graduate of the course will be able to create a lifestyle change plan for a client from the general population. Furthermore, he will be able to intervene with the client using therapeutic approaches. The graduate will also be able to evaluate whether the intervention was successful.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- know the basic techniques of working with the client in the area of ​​nutrition and lifestyle of the general population;
- use basic tools for evaluating work with the client;
- identify a problem in the current lifestyle or nutritional style of a client from the general population;
- on the basis of a detailed medical history, propose a suitable plan for changing the client's diet or lifestyle (explain and apply the proposed measures, critically evaluate trending topics in the area of ​​lifestyle changes and justify their adequacy or inadequacy)

  • Lectures:
  • 1. Basics of working with the client in changing lifestyle and nutrition.
  • 2. Basic necessary equipment for working with groups, aids, specifics for individual groups.
  • 3. Procedures and principles in the analysis of the current state of the client.
  • 4. Specific dietary programs and plans in the nutrition of the general population.
  • 5. Specific dietary programs in the nutrition of the adult population 1.
  • 6. Specific dietary programs in the nutrition of the adult population 2.
  • 7. Diet procedures aimed at weight change 1.
  • 8. Diet procedures for weight change 2.
  • 9. Nutrition counseling for intolerance and diet 1.
  • 10. Nutritional counseling for intolerance and diet 2.
  • 11. Eating disorders - diagnosis, help.
  • 12. Critical reading of virtual counseling.
  • Seminars:
  • 1. Practical training of abilities and skills.
  • 2. Orientation in the practical area for consulting room equipment.
