Abstract
At the end of the course should be able to:
- enable the handicapped to enter the swimming pool
- enable the handicapped to exit the swimming pool
- basic assistance and cooperation with the handicapped in water environmnet
- manage the role of the assistant
- make a lesson plan for handicapped swimmers

  • 1. Biomechanical principle of movement in water and swimming.
  • 2. Biomedical characteristics of swimming, effects of swimming on health.
  • 3. Psychological characteristics of the method and its typical features – "face to face method" (work with an assistant).
  • 4. Removing anxiety and stress from water environment, training of coping methods and coping strategies.
  • 5. Training of particular stages of movement in water – practical part:
