Course objectives
The course builds on Kinesiology, Diagnosis and Therapy 1 and focuses on the issues of neurological diagnosis and the use of neurophysiological principles in rehabilitation. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the control of movement and the functions of the different stages of the peripheral and central nervous system in this process. A sub-goal is to introduce neurophysiological principles that are actively used in diagnosis and therapy in physical therapy.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:

- Understand the functions of the various stages of the nervous system with the control of human motor control;
- theoretically understand the principles of special diagnostic and therapeutic techniques;
- apply basic neurophysiological principles practically in the context of diagnosis and therapy;
- practically master the neurological examination and its basic interpretation;

Teaching methods
Students will be introduced to the issues in the form of a lecture, with active discussion of the topics during the lectures. In the seminars, all examinations will be practically demonstrated, then students will practice the examination on themselves. The demonstrations are supplemented with video examples of real neurological patients for a better understanding of the issues. The practical part is performed in a contact form in small groups. During the practice, students are checked by the teacher and correction of correct performance takes place.
Assessment methods
In order to be admitted to the practical exam, it is necessary to meet sufficient attendance and tests scores.
- attendance: 100% participation in classes (according to the study and examination regulations, 1 absence is allowed)
- 70% point gain from tests (calculated from the score of the best one from the seminar group), in case of failure, credit test (1 attempt), must have min. 70 % score of maximum test points.
- after fulfilling the conditions (attendance + tests) admission to the final exam

Examination: oral examination from the theoretical circuit, practical examination from neurological examination - overall grade A-F
