Abstract
The course aims to describe and analyze the development and contemporary character of internal security agencies and intelligence services, focusing on their activities and legal regulation. The attention will primarily be paid to the modern situation in the Czech Republic; however, the topic will also be conceptualized in the historical and contemporary European and global context, including international cooperation in this field. Practical examples will be primarily used in the course.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to identify and analyze the institutional and functional character of internal security forces and intelligence services and will know the basics of their legal regulation, which they will be able to describe and explain with the help of practical examples.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
The exam consists from evaluation of two in-term written tests (max. 24 points, max. 12 from each), written homework (max. 12 points) and final written test (max. 24 points). Grading: Grading: 56-60: A 51-55: B 46-50: C 41-45: D 36-40: E 35-0: F.
