Předmět je doporučen zejm. studujícím vyšších ročníků, kteří si již osvojili základy sociologické imaginace a teorie v některém z úvodních kurzů.

Course objectives (in Czech)
Cílem kurzu Román jako sociální teorie (SOCb2160) je rozvíjet sociologickou imaginaci četbou literární fikce. Studující budou seznámeni s různými vymezeními pojmů „fikce“ a „realita“ a naučí se s nimi analyticky pracovat.
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Studující budou rozvíjet svoje schopnosti práce s odborným i fikčním textem, svůj psaný projev a dovednost tvůrčího psaní nejen pro akademické účely, svoje prezentační schopnosti a vyjadřování v akademické diskusi.
