no formal prerequisites, but knowledge of sociological methods and theories corresponding to BA sociology major is expected. also familiarity with one stastical packag for survey data analysis is expected (STATA, SPSSr, R)

Abstract
THis class helps students critically evaluate research designs and think about their application in their own research work.
Learning outcomes
students can critically evaluate main elements of research design as they relate to the notion of causality in sociological research and can apply this knowledge in planning and executing their own research
