Course objectives
This course brings comparative perspective to learning about cities in Europe and in the world. Teaching will be in Czech (seminars) and in English (visiting fellow's presentations). The course will focus on the variety of world cities, on the concept of "European city", on problems shared by cities in different geographical and cultural contexts. The learning process cultivates at the same time the capacity to compare world cities of various categories, and langauage skills.
