Course objectives
The aim of the course is to train analytical thinking and abilities to work with various sources of information in a short time period. Students will be able to oriented quickly in various problems, came up with reasons and suggest possible solutions. Students will make deductions basedo on acquired knowledge how to analyze written, visual and audiovisual materials.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to the course, explanations of key topics and terms 2. Information - how to get them, how to work with them 3. Analytical workshop I. - how to read materials 4. Analytical workshop II. - how to work with data, how to understand various surveys, polls and research 5. Visual analysis I. - how visual works 6. Visual analysis II. 7. How to write analysis 8. Communication Strategy Analysis - why and how people commuicate 9. How to analyze audiovisual materials - electoral spots analysis
Teaching methods
The course will be divided into interactive seminars and workshops. Students will have to do homework and reading in order to follow workshops. Part of the seminars will be various class projects and discussion and work with various materials. In the course will participate professional from various fields.

4 written assignments and final group project
