Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
-
Teaching is based on the principles of experiential learning. The main methods include professional placement in an authentic workplace environment, experiential and situated learning, guided observation and participation in professional activities, joint reflective sessions, discussion and analysis of cases from practice, linking practical experience with professional concepts, reflective and analytical writing, working with feedback, and independent academic reading.

The student completes 75 hours of professional placement in an organisation or organisational unit relevant to the Human Resource Development and Employment study programme. The course includes three joint reflective sessions focused on preparation for the placement, ongoing reflection on experience and its professional interpretation, and final reflection on professional learning.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements

Achievement of the learning outcomes is assessed through a combination of practical experience and ongoing reflection.

The student demonstrates achievement of the learning outcomes in particular by:

  • completing 75 hours of professional placement and providing evidence of completion;
  • actively participating in three joint reflective sessions in which they analyse their placement experience and connect it with professional concepts;
  • preparing two written analytical-reflective essays based on their own placement experience and relevant academic literature;
  • demonstrating the ability to analyse people management and development in an organisation, the position of the HR function, the distribution of responsibilities among the actors involved, and the relationship between HR activities and the organisation’s strategy;
  • demonstrating the ability to analyse organisational culture and substantiate its characteristics with specific examples from practice.

The course is completed with a pass/fail credit. All specified requirements must be met in order to receive the credit.

Learning Requirements

The student is required to:

  • complete 75 hours of professional placement in an organisation or organisational unit relevant to the focus of the study programme;
  • document completion of the placement using the prescribed form;
