Course objectives (in Czech)
The transformed historical conditions following the political changes in 1989 have forced the countries of Central and Eastern Europe to choose different strategies of adaptation to the globalizing culture of capitalism, with the resulting reconstruction of social identities. This course examines the mutually interconnected political, social and cultural dimensions of these changes, seen from the comparative perspective of different countries in the region.
