Course objectives
The goal is to advance students'methodological and analytical knowledge and skills, especially those that will be utilized in their dissertation research.
Syllabus
  • Course content varies by semester. There are several strategies that can be used to obtain credit: a. enrollment in existing methodological courses from the MA curriculum (under condition that the student has not obtained credit for these courses previously) b. enrollment in ad-hoc methodological courses offered by visiting professors/lecturers c. participation in methodological spring/summer schools d. successful completion of methodological cours(es) at other universities (typically abroad) e. independent study of a chosen method (with one's supervisor or other expert) that will result in a paper using the respective method
