Course objectives
The goal of the course is to introduce students into social work issues in excluded Roma locality.
Students will be able to orientate oneself in these issues:
- Issues of social excluded Roma locality;
- Social worker role and social work accesses;
- Quality standards in social services focus on specific domain of work.
The themes also focus on specifics, opportunities and limits of work in social excluded Roma locality. At the end of the course the student will be able to find alternative solutions to difficult living situations of clients with regard to issues of social exclusion and the requirements of quality standards in social work.
Learning outcomes
- Be knowledgeable in the issues of socially excluded Roma localities; - To propose an individualized plan to address the situation of a socially disadvantaged clients; - To find a solution to the client's situation approaching human respect in terms of ethics and standards of quality of social services; - To apply different approaches and methods of social work in solving the situation of socially disadvantaged clients.
