- Course objectives
- The aim of the course will be the reflection of environmental issues in the film medium.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students should be able: to better analyze cinematographic works; to have a deeper understanding of the form of an essay; to better formulate their own reviews and opinions; to gain a broader knowledge of film works that are focused on environmental issues; to have a better understanding of environmental problems and solutions.
- Syllabus
- 1.-12. Watching films that reflect or include environmental themes. These will be not only documentaries but also art films of various genres. 13. Final evaluation of essays and the seminar. The seminar will take place once every 14 days so that after watching the film, a joint discussion on the film work will be possible. Alternatively, there may be a discussion with the guest. In online teaching (whether partial or complete), the students will watch selected films at home and discuss the work during seminar lessons, or there will be a discussion with the guest. Students should submit an essay on one of the films in early May.

- Teaching methods
- Film projections and discussions, writing an essay with feedback.
- Assessment methods
- 70% participation in seminars, active participation in discussions within the seminar, submission of an essay according to defined conditions. Before each lesson, students submit a summary of the film's main topic and formulate 2 to 3 questions or suggestions based on the film. In the case of the online form because of quarenteene situation, participation in seminars will be counted only if the camera + microphone is turned on (and participation is active).
