Course objectives
The aim of this seminar is to introduce fan audience in the context of fan studies (its history), typical practices of media fans, and participative culture in general.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to: use their theoretical knowledge of fan studies; connect this knowledge with other contexts (media studies, cultural studies, pop-culture studies, TV studies etc.); know basic methodological approaches to study fans (and niche or subcultural audiences in general); participate in academic discussions

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Během semestru je předpokládaná četba doporučené literatury, aktivita v hodině a plnění kooperačních aktivit na hodinách (tvorba fanartu). Všechny předchozí body uzavírá finální projekt = fanouškovská aktivistická kampaň nebo fanouškovská tvorba – video; možnost práce ve dvojicích (ale musí to být o to větší/ambicióznější projekt); téma projektu musí být předem konzultováno a schváleno vyučující.
