Abstract
Students have documented their ability to publish results of their original research, either in the form of a research paper or a monograph. They understand the principles of the writing and publication processes, have first hand experience with communication with editors, reviewers, and/or editorial boards.
Learning outcomes
After successfully passing the course, student will be able to interpret, evaluate, revise, and to utilize these skills in the publication process.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Credits are awarded on the basis of a published research paper/monograph. When the course is taken in the last semester before dissertation defense, accepted manuscript is sufficient. Publication must be recorded in IS MU and should be marked for inclusion into the National register of research outcomes (aka "RIV") - unless the student is employed outside of MU in a research project lead by their supervisor. The following publication types are accepted: 1. Research paper written in English (or another major language) and published in a journal registered in Web of Science, monograph or a chapter in a monograph published by a reputable international publisher. 2. Research paper written in a minor language and published in a journal registered in Web of Science, monograph published outside of major international publisher 3. Paper published in a journal registered in SCOPUS, chapter in a monograph (not published by a major international publisher). Credit is not given for publications in predatory journals/publishers.
