Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are:
basic practical skills and orientation in operating various sources of legal information;
abilities to search for black-letter law and other legal documents in a number of legal information systems on the internet.
Syllabus
  • Basic steps in ASPI, introduction to the system and to its subsystems
  • Search for black-letter law in ASPI, solution of model cases
  • Work with accessory applications of ASPI, search for case-law, readings, EU law
  • Basic orientation in some other information systems (Codexis, Beck-online, LexDATA, EPIS, Konzultant etc.)
  • Search for legal information on the internet

Teaching methods
Practice in PC room.
Assessment methods
Participation at seminars is compulsory – students are solving here particular practical assignments. The course is concluded by a colloquium that is awarded upon completion of a test of theoretical knowledge and solution of practical assignments. Details are in interactive curricula.

General note: Předmět je určen pro nejvýše pro polovinu ročníku. Je prerekvizitou pro státní závěrečnou zkoušku.
