- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to introduce to students current concepts and issues of personal data protection law and freedom of information right with emphasis on open data.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing this course, student is expected to be able to:
- be familiar with European and Czech legislation on personal data protection
- understand the basic principles of personal data protection and to apply them
- analyze and solve practical legal problems of personal data protection
- understand the regulation of access to public sector information and its reuse
- analyze and solve specific legal issues associated with providing and reusing open data
- analyze and solve the specific legal issues of a personal data protection conflict with the right to information and reuse of open data - Syllabus

- Personal data protection online I – Basic concepts, jurisdiction and applicable law
