- Cyber security plays a key role in modern society. But it is not just a technical issue - it is a phenomenon that requires a multidisciplinary approach.
In the past, the Czech Republic has adopted legislation in this area. The Cybersecurity Act defined various groups of so-called obliged entities and created legal mechanisms for handling security incidents and cyber crises.
The curriculum aims to provide interested readers with an overview of cybersecurity legislation.
The course is also intended for non-law students. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- describe the basic background and methods of legal regulation of cyber security;
- describe the structure of relevant legislation;
- describe the role of the National Cyber and Information Security Authority;
- identify the legal requirements impacting a particular organisation. - Syllabus
