Course objectives
The Practical nursing training, it integrates knowledge of nursing theoretical and practical subjects, the basic spheres of science, social and behavioral science and communication. The subject offers cavity and fixation gained specialized nursing skills and knowledge. The subject,it contents individual practical trainig on the units (wards) of the elected health care institution, the social care institution and the other health care institutions. - Practical training, appropriation and fixation of the special nursing process activities in the nature nursing practice. - The nursing care implementation based on the bio-psycho-sicial-spiritual demands and patient’s problems, the nursing diagnosis determination goes from NANDA taxonomy, aims, activities planning, and nursing diagnosis evaluation. - The patient education about life style changes based on self knowledge and skills. - To attend to quality of the all activities related to nursing care. - The nursing profesional qualities formation - The application of nursing theoretical knowledge has got by studium on solving of the specific problems health care. - Creative implementation to the health care problems solving - bachelor’s leasing labor. Particular aims -at the end of the course students should be able to: - to describe and define the specifity of the nursing process at different clinical places where they have had practical training - to decribe the process of the care at the different clinical places where they have had practical training - to define the effective nursing care at the specific clinical places in the multidiciplinary team - to identify the specific needs of the patients - to formulate nursing diagnosis and create nursing plans of tha care and of the nursing interventions - to apply Evidence based Nursing in to the clinical practice - to asses and criticaly evaluate the efectivity of the rendered care according to holistic approach to the patients - to work with the nursing and health documentation and report the health status changes
Learning outcomes
- to identify the particularities of nursing care at individual clinics where they undergo a clinical internship - identify requirements for effective nursing care in specialized clinical settings within multidisciplinary care - Identify the specific needs of patients - formulate nursing diagnoses and create plans for nursing care and nursing interventions - Apply Evidence Based Nursing in Clinical Practice - Critically evaluate the effectiveness of care provided within the holistic approach to patients - to use nursing and health records and to record changes in the status of patients according to legislation and competencies
Syllabus
  • The nursing practical training is orientated on secondary and tertiary health care. The students are intensifying ability to evaluate environment (material and personal) in which goes from individual needs. They will be educated to evaluate the personal curent condition and needs by point of view nursing care. The students are intensifying in the basic nursing skills on the standard departments and intensive care units. They are fixing theoretical knowledge and practical skills during the nursing individual services implementation to the clients in various medicine institutions.

Assessment methods
Exam is concluded by practical nursing care exam with pacient at the hospital. Exam is catalyzed: • Perform a practical examination in a clinical setting with verification of theoretical knowledge (after completing an internship CHK A). • Attendance in clinical workplaces (100 % attendance required, absences can be replaced within Individual nursing practice II). • Submission of completed evaluation forms: Student evaluation, workplace evaluation. • Preparation of seminar work according to model Roy (according to the instructions of the teachers). All documents will be submitted through the „IS odevzdávárna“. The student is obliged to prepare properly for practical lessons according to the teacher's recommendations.
