Course objectives
The subject of the graduates inform with the propedeutics of the research. Students will be able to participate in the research projects as promoters and solvers. Graduates will be able to apply modern scientifically validated research methods. They will acquire a creative approach to solving problems in health pactice.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - apply methods of modern scientific research, • - to set out suitable topics for research in nursing • - describe the stages of the research process and their content, • - describe qualitative and quantitative research designs, • - to draw up a research plan, • - to formulate goals, hypotheses, research questions, • - design a research tool, • - snalyze research data, • - describe principles of ethics of research work and publishing ethics, • - apply the legislative standards set for scientific research on, human.
Syllabus
  • Nursing as a science (characteristics, specifics and importance of research in nursing). • Selection of suitable topics for nursing research. • Nursing and Evidence Based Practice (EBP, EBN). • Research process and his stage (phase of research). • Research techniques (qualitative and quantitative research). • Formulation of research problém from using the framework PICO(TS),PECO(TS). • Hypothesis, formulation of hypothesis and classification of hypothesis. • Research sample. • Methods in research. • Methods of empirical data analysis. • Dissemination phase of the research (presentation of research results, methods of application of knowledge into practice). • Ethics in nursing research. • Projects and grants.
