Abstract
The aim of the course is to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the relationship between human nutrition, including energy intake, basic macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, timing and frequency of eating, the correct use of food supplements and the sports performance of an average person and a high-performance athlete.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course students will be able to: Calculate and set the appropriate energy intake of the athlete
Calculate and set the appropriate intake of basic macronutrients for athletes
Appropriately recommend dietary supplements for athletes
Understand the broader connections between nutrition and metabolism during physical activity
Understand the connections between the intake of basic macronutrients and the effect on physical performance
