Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are: understaning and explaining the basic terminology; adequate use of information about mental processes, states and qualities of an individual; grasping basic psychological methods;

  • Psychology as a science about a person, psychological scientific disciplines;
  • Basic methods in psychology;
  • Basic terminology - psyche, consciousness, the unconscious, experiencing, behaviour, mental processes, mental states and processes;
  • Thinking and speech;
  • Memory;
  • Attention;
  • Emotions and feelings;
  • Volitional action. Motivation;
  • Conflict and conflict situations;

Teaching methods
Type of teaching - lecture - 1 hour.
Assessment methods
Requirements for the finishing of colloguium. Active participation is expected, pairwork, teamwork. Colloguium has a form of a written test, the result of the test is evaluated in points, within the range from 0 to 25 points, minimum number of points for passing is 20.
