Course objectives
Allow the student to practice his / her knowledge and skills acquired in lectures of the subject in the context of model situations, taking into account the study program. Subsequently, the knowledge and skills acquired in this way will practically capitalize on their clinical practice. Preparation of a seminar work focused on the issue of educating a patient, or a family member, and its presentation.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to assess the patient / client and to design, implement, evaluate the educational process with him / her due to his / her age and individual peculiarities. The student is able to develop and use educational material during education.
Syllabus
  • Elaboration seminar work and presentation. Work is focused on problems patient education, client, eventually family member in health and also diseases. EDUCATION WORK STRUCTURE - the work will be handed in written form and posted to the ISU       - The material will contain a maximum of 2 files per ISU Structure of work: 1. Introduction: - name and surname - vintage - academic year - field of study - form of study - name of the educational work - Target group (family, patient, health care professional, public, ...) - Age is required in children - the main goal of education 2. Long-term education plan for selected topic: - elaboration of a long-term educational plan for the given issue on individual educational units (lessons) - at least three - Each lesson will include: a) the name of the issue b) the time information on how long the education unit will last c) the educational target for the chosen topic d) method of education (lecture, interview, ...) e) form of education (group, collective, individual, ...) f) who will educate (physician, nurse, nutritional therapist, ...) g) where the education will be done (home, ambulance, care unit, ...) (h) the tools to be used (i) the curriculum of the lesson j) Form for recording education (not filled, for all educational lessons one) k) literature used (citation ethic, citation according to standards) 3. Educational Lessons - Detailed elaboration of one educational unit: a) the name of the issue b) the time information on how long the education unit will last c) Educational goal d) form of education (group, collective, individual, ...) e) who will educate (physician, nurse, diet nurse, ...) f) where education will be done (home, ambulance, care unit, ...) (g) aids to be used h) method of education - processing of the content of the selected method (detailed) i) educational material - which will be processed by you according to the instructions (see annex)  Education Point is not considered a Power Point presentation
