Course objectives
The subject is conceived as a theoretical one. It includes anesthesia, intensive care and resuscitation care for children and adults.
The goal is to prepare a medical rescuer to provide patients with essential life functions, to support and replace them with the use of anesthesia and analgesia for all ages.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
The student will be able to:
basic diagnostics of basic vital functions,
invasive and non-invasive monitoring, intensive care,
preparation of the patient and examination before general anesthesia,
preparation of anesthesiology workplace and assistance in general anesthesia;
practical assistance in basic techniques of local anesthesia;
to practically secure a patient with a failure or a failure of essential vital functions;
evaluate the patient's overall condition using monitoring techniques,
lead patient documentation.
Syllabus
  • Practical skills training in anesthesia, analgesia, intensive and resuscitation care.
  • Getting acquainted with the equipment necessary for anaesthesiological care and nursing intensive and resuscitation care for both children and adults.
  • Training of standard situations with the use of trainers and creation of a dynamic stereotype in dealing with emergencies - model situations and case reports.
  • Within the scope of practicing basic techniques and techniques in general and local anesthesia and analgesia, practicing basic diagnostics and therapy procedures in patients with life-defects, practicing techniques of invasive and non-invasive monitoring and evaluation of the patient's condition, practical procedure in the preparation of anesthesiology workplace, examination, preparation and premedication of the patient.
  • Practical procedure for general anesthesia, possible complications and method of their solution, including the provision of respiratory tract.
  • Practical procedure for local anesthesia, possible complications and method of their treatment, obligations of a non-medical health worker. Document management.
