Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand the basic terminology of management, explain principles of organization, management and financing of health care system, name and explain leadership skills, styles, principles of motivation, organizational cultur, recruitment and dismiss staff, weight main risks and possibility of mistaken in nursing, describe conception of providing quality in health care, continuous quality improvement, way how to measure the quality of care, prevention risks and mistaken of taken care.
Learning outcomes

  • Organization, organization structure in health care institution, types and function of health care institution
  • Financing of health care framework, resources of financing, cover health providers
  • Management – management cycle, management levels, roles of nurse manager
  • Leadership – leadership skills, styles, tools of leadership
  • Motivation – tools of motivation, remuneration, employees evaluation, Organizational cultur
  • Quality of health care, indicators of quality in health care, ways to measure, continuous quality improvement
  • Risks and mistaken of providing health care and nursing, prevention
  • Management of human resources – human resources management policies and procedures
  • Staffing, structure of human resources in health care institution, competencies, prognosticating of the number of para medical professionals.
