Course objectives
Students will gain knowledge and skills needed to implement nursing activities in the field of standard hospital care, including practical application of the nursing process.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to complete basic nursing care for children and adults after completing the subject.
Syllabus
  • Content of the tutorial:
  • Care of the patient / client environment, care unit and its equipment, classification of basic treatment units.
  • Care of hospital bed, bedside aids
  • Investigation and treatment positions. Nursing care, disinfection, sterilization
  • Medical devices, distribution, types.
  • Care for the hygiene of children and adults.
  • Treatment of the patient with sores, soreness, prevention.
  • Patient / client mobility, physical and mental activity, basal stimulation concept
  • Patient and adult care
  • Patient and adult nursing responsibilities
  • Oxygen Therapy
  • Parenteral Drug Administration
  • Infusion Therapy

Assessment methods
Completion: examination 75% success rate with continuous tests (test for each unit taught), 75% success in final test, oral and practical examination of the ballot issue.
