Syllabus
  • Czech for Foreigners. Syllabus.
  • 1st - 4th weeks: LESSON 5: Conversation: Traffic in the Town. Way Home - Bus, Train, Airplane. Grammar: Locative of singular and plural in nouns, adjectives, pronouns and numeral "one". Prepositions used with the locative.
  • 5th - 8th weeks: LESSON 6: Conversation: Post-office. Telephone, Telegram, Packets, Letters. Grammar: Modal verbs. Cardinal numerals 20 - 1 000. Indefinite numerals.
  • 9th - 10th weeks: LESSON 7: Revision Lesson.
  • 11th - 14th weeks: LESSON 8: Conversation: Time. Days, Months, Seasons. Grammar: How long, How often, When? Date. Ordinal numerals. Czech women's surnames. Adverbs from adjectives.
  • 15th week: Credit test.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
The tuition is realised in the form of practical courses. The students' presence in these courses is required; two absences are tolerated. The tuition is finished by an end-of-term examination (ETE) consisting of a written and an oral part. Passing the examination is conditioned by proper attendance and active participation in practical courses.
