Předmět zahrnuje jak aktuální témata z oboru molekulární biologie a genetiky (Regulace genové exprese, Nové poznatky o lidském genomu, Genová terapie) tak také z tématiky molekulární buněčné biologie (Kmenové buňky a buněčná terapie, Cytoskelet a molekulární motory, Nové poznatky o kontrole buněčného cyklu, Programovaná buněčná smrt, Nádorová transformace buňky).
