Course objectives
The aim of the course is to give students a comprehensive summary of all pathological processes of defects and diseases occurring in the eye. Eye pathology monitors eye diseases and defects not only by the individual organs of the organ, but also by the function of the visual system and the whole organism.
Learning outcomes
Student understands the individual eye diseases and the possibilities of their treatment, is able to cooperate with an ophthalmologist.
Syllabus
  • lens disease, change in position and shape, cataract-congenital, senile, complicated, cataract surgery, complications, correction of refractive defects after surgery; glaucoma, examination methods, glaucoma: open-angle primary, closed-angle, special open-angle glaucoma, secondary glaucoma, congenital glaucoma, treatment; refractive defects, myopia, hyperopia; refractive defects II: astigmatism, presbyopia, accommodation, convergence, disorders and treatment; neuro-ophthalmology: visual ailments, subjective and objective symptoms, neuritis, congestive papilla; chiasm syndrome, retrochiasmatic visual disturbances; pupil illness, nystagmus; strabismus, etiology, clinical manifestations, manifest and latent sifting; physiology and pathology of binocular vision, paralytic strabismus; eye diseases, inflammations, endocrine orbitopathies, tumors and eye injuries traumatology in ophthalmology, foreign body on the cornea and conjunctiva, perforating eye injury, eye bruising and surrounding structures; burns and burns of eye and eye adnexa, first aid, treatment, complications; eyelid disease, shape changes, position, inflammation of the eyelid edges, inflammations of the Meibomian and Zeiss glands, tumors; conjunctival diseases, degeneration, acute and chronic inflammation, etiology distribution; bacterial, viral, chlamydial, fungal and allergic conjunctivitis; corneal diseases: developmental anomalies, degenerative diseases, inflammation, canine inflammation of newborns, corneal surgery; whitewash and vitreous disease; gout diseases: congenital developmental defects, inflammation: anterior, intermediate, posterior, acute chronic; etiology of gout inflammation and treatment; intraocular tumors; retinal disease, examination methods, vascular affection, retinal degeneration; angiosclerotic retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy; vitreoretinal surgery
