Teaching methods
The teaching methods of the theoretical part of the specialized education are primarily focused on providing recent knowledge in the field of clinical laboratory management and operation with the practical application of clinical, analytical and instrumental technologies and procedures. The output of this class is a laboratory technician who can employ this knowledge for practical work in the laboratory. Another important output is also the acquisition of a positive and active approach to operational, organizational and technological changes that are typical for the field of Clinical Biochemistry. The basic form of teaching is a lecture accompanied by .ppt presentations and commented video sequences. A guided discussion with a description of solutions at parental workplace settings is also being conducted on discussed topics. Participants have access to the e-learning course "Liquorology", which is part of the subject of the bachelor's degree in Health Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine. Similar e-learning format is available for urine morphology.
Assessment methods
The teacher for theoretical education prepares a study plan and a plan of practical exercises to be completed by the participant in the course of preparation and continuously examine knowledge and skills. The supervisor for the practical part evaluates the mastery of the outputs set by the educational program. Practices at routine laboratory workplaces is carried out under the supervision of an assigned laboratory specialist who is an employee of the workplace, has a specialized qualification in the field and a certificate for the exercise of the health profession without professional supervision. The Practitioner confirms the performed tasks. Continual teacher evaluation: The supervisor regularly and continuously examines the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of a participant in the specialized training. In the study card, he / she writes the termination of each module and the number of credits earned. The continuous evaluation of the acquired theoretical knowledge is carried out in the form of a test at the beginning of the following module of the specialized training program.
