- Abstract (in Czech)
Applied Physiology is a blended learning course focused on the practical understanding of human physiological systems. The course is divided into four main thematic areas: the respiratory system, the visual system, and the cardiovascular system I and II. Each topic includes study materials, practice tests, and protocols for practical exercises that support both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Practical sessions are an important part of the course and are aimed at learning basic physiological measurements commonly used in hospitals to assess a patient’s health status. Students gain hands-on experience with diagnostic methods and learn how to interpret measured data in a clinical context. The course connects physiological theory with real medical practice and supports the development of skills needed for future work in healthcare and related fields.
