Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the development of digital competence and literacy. Digital competence is defined as the ability to use knowledge and skills in digital technologies responsibly, independently and appropriately in the context of work, play or education. The development of digital competence is suitable to be applied across all curricula and disciplines, contributing to students' learning competences as well as keeping up to date with current trends. At the same time, there is an increased need for digital competence in virtually all professions in the job market. The aim of the course is to provide an overview and introduction to various aspects of the modern use of digital technologies in education, professional training and practice.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- define terminology in the field of digital competence and literacy and its development;
- utilize 3D printing technologies;
- utilize virtual reality technologies;
- utilize mobile technologies;
- utilize robotic and interactive aids;
- utilize online and interactive applications in education and self-study;
- understand and act in accordance with the safety aspects of technology;
- understand the principles of creating educational tools using modern technologies;
- understand the field of gamification in education;
- independently develop their digital competences in line with current trends in digital technologies;
