Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: explain evolutional periods of history of music supplement the theoretical ïnformation with experience of music listener interpret basic features of individual style periods orientation in significant music compositions and their composers

  • Periodization of musi history, Genesis of music, music in ancient ages (Egypt, Greece, Rome), Music in early Christian ages, Gregorian chant, Profane and Sacral form of Middle Ages, Early forms of polyphony, Ars antique, Ars nova etc., Czech gothic music, Hussitism
