Course objectives
Integrated Field Lessons follow subjects Integrated Science Foundations 1-4. Students apply their theoretical geographical, geological, biological, ecological, chemical, physical, historical and other knowledge and skills while staying at a particular place - in Moravský kras region.


The aim of the subject - to gain abilities during traveling and stay in a different geographical surrounding, to gain comunication and explanation abilities in the foreign environments, to enrich theoretical and regional geographical knowledge. To gain abilities of preparation and realization of foreign and home excursion for pupils and students. This practice proceeds in regions with specific ethnical, social and political problems.
Learning outcomes
A student will:
  • gain abilities during traveling and stay in a different geographical surrounding;
  • gain comunication and explanation abilities in the foreign environments, to enrich theoretical and regional geographical knowledge;
  • gain abilities of preparation and realization of foreign and home excursion for pupils and students.
  • Syllabus
    • Students attend four integrated thematic blocks:
    • biological-chemical about natural biotops,
    • biological-chemical-historical about biotops infleunced by people,
    • geographical-historical-geological - about mapping of landscape, and
    • historical-geographical - about history of the region.

      Last day is aimed to reflexion and evaluation of the field work.

    Assessment methods
    The participating students complete selected organizational, operational and educational tasks, including the presentations of subjects processed. Credits are being given for results of subject processing, presentation and reporting.
