Knowledge of German on lower intermediate level as documented by passing the exam at the end of the preceding summer term; ability and willingness to participate in German based classroom activities;

Abstract
At the end of the course, students should be able to: - express themselves in both spoken and written form to the topics discussed in class, - use the language on these topics properly, - conduct internet research on the topics, - present the acquired information in a reasonable way, - give arguments and defend opinions, - compare and assess individual phenomena within the topic.

The textbook (PERLMANN-BALME, Michaela a Susanne SCHWALB. Sicher!: Niveau B2 : Deutsch als Fremdsprache. Hueber Verlag, ISBN 978-3-19-001207-7) will be supplemented by additional materials (IS/Učební materiály). Lesson 1: Friendships, Write Greeting Cards, two-piece connectors, Middle of the clause, Lesson 2: In the company, phone call, state passive, passive sentences, participle I and II as adjective, Lesson 3: Media, reportage, news, reference words in the text, wenn-phrases and dass-phrases, Literary texts reading, oppositive and exclusion sentence, modal subordinate clauses, Lesson 4: After school, Reviews with adverbs, temporal expressions, temporal correlations.
