Course objectives
The seminar focuses on dramatic literary works and their stage performance. In collaboration with Czech and German faculty, students will be systematically prepared to perform a selected German-language drama on the stage of the University of Regensburg's student theater. The seminar group is expected to stay in Regensburg for one week at the beginning of October (arrival October 5th - departure October 11th). Key points of the week's program: Excursion to the Regensburg Theater, the Ingolstadt Theater; Theater visit: Regensburg; Workshop topics: Biographical writing/Phonetics for the stage/Analyzing literary texts, rewriting, acting/Character development, gestures, acting. Objective: The students will be gradually prepared to form a team of actors and demonstrate their acting skills on an authentic student theater stage. All additional information will be provided at the first seminar meeting at the end of September.
Learning outcomes
The students will be able to form a student theatre group that performs a German-language drama on stage.

Teaching methods
Research, presentation, moderated discussion, group work, comparison and evaluation of results, implementation of theoretical knowledge in academic work with a literary text, discussion in a German-Czech group.
Assessment methods
Meeting the tasks: 4 credits: Participation in the seminar at the host university in Regensburg, preparation of a theater performance in Regensburg.
Náhradní absolvování
Students on mobility abroad will have their ISP recognised and will be allowed to complete the requirements by distance learning as individually agreed with the course tutor at the beginning of the semester. It is advisable to consult with the lecturer/m prior to the start of the semester if the course is to be recognised (for a course at a foreign university).
