Course objectives
Indo-European languages and their classification. Unlived and contemporary Indo-European languages. Slavonic languages in the group of Indo-European languages. Fundamental changes in the development of phonological and morphological Indo-European and Proto-Slavonic language system. Separation of the Slavonic languages from the Proto-Slavonic language, the differences among them. The syntax of the Church Slavonic. Reflexes of the development language changes in the grammatical system of the Czech language. Generalisation of the facts about Slavic languages and Church Slavonic as a fundament for the reconstruction of the presuppositions for the development of the Czech language.
Syllabus
  • 1. Classification of the Indo-European languages, the Slavic languages in the group of the Indo-European languages. 2. Development of the phonology and morphology system of the Czech language compare to the Indo-European proto-language and compare to the contemporary Slavic languages. 3. The syntax of the Church Slavonic. 4. Generalisation of the facts about Slavic languages and Church Slavonic as a fundament for the reconstruction of the presuppositions for the development of the Czech language. The lecture is recommended the students who visit the seminary Fundamental of the Slavonic.
