- Founded active and passive language abilities are presupposed on the level stage C1 after the European reference framework. The final examination orients itself after the European reference framework and plans with the rezeptiven authority the reaching of the level C2, with the productive authority level stage C1. The European reference framework defines these two level stages as follows: C1: "Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices." C2: "Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations."

- Course objectives
- A goal of the seminar is it to prepare for the final language examination. The active and rezeptiven competences are to be trained and also the test format is to be learned. Linguistic, soziolinguistische and intercultural authority is promoted indirectly on the basis the worked on materials. As orientation for the final examination test format serves (for example: Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung (ZMP/C1), TELC Zertifikat Deutsch C1, ÖSD-Oberstufe Deutsch/C1, ÖSD-Wirtschaftssprache Deutsch/C2, u.ä.
- Syllabus
- The seminar starts with a classification test, which should serve on the one hand the students as orientation, and on the other hand will be the basis for planing teh concrete lessons according to the needs of the students. To assume it is that primarily exercises for Listening and Reading and shorter verbal statements are practiced and analyzed. Vocabulary and grammar should be addressed only indirectly. Depending upon the language-level by the students also an appropriate measure of self-study is expected. Particularly the written authority is to be trained in the form of house exercises.
