Course objectives
The main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows: to understand the basic teachings of Russian literature and culture; to learn the history of Russian literature and its relations with the historical and political conditions in Russia; to analyze the relations of Russian folklore and literature; to understand and analyze the relations between literature, art and music; to understand and analyze the relations between the style, movement and genre in their historical evolution; to understand the necessity of reading Russian literature

Assessment methods
Written test. Reading of seven books from the recommanded literature. Writing a paper on literary theme (9000 signs, a list of the used literature, a Russian abstract).
