Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand the aesthetic problematics as a science field on the base of theoretical and historical entrance into the discipline; the content is focused on axiology in art works especially in music.
Syllabus
  • Definition and subject of aesthetics. Aspects of understanding of concepts of beauty and its functioning as an evaluation criterion in art. Art, specific nature of art communication, means of expression of individual types of art, variability of standards. Forming of meaning in music - comparison with other types of art. Semantic conception of exposition of works of music. Presentation, representation. Basic semantic relations. Internal composition of sign and meaning in music. Syntagma and paradigma in music. Classification of signs in music.
