Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to: - describe and explain the modern technology of wood processing and plastics;
Syllabus
  • 1 / Introduction to the processing of materials, an overview of hand tools for working with wood, electric hand tools and machines to work with wood, safety and maintenance tools 2 / Giving operations with manual tools for working with wood: scribing, with hand saws, planes, rasps and other instruments 3 / macroscopic and microscopic structure of wood, wood orthogonal anisotropy, practical 4 / verification physical, mechanical and technological properties of selected species of wood 5/Theory - Measuring, drawing and control instruments -Fixing tools -Machine tools I saw hand-saws, cutting and the principles of good work with saws, maintenance and grinding -Machine Tools II-axes, planes, chisels, rasps and files, emery paper, the principle of working with these instruments and supplies. -Machine tools III - drills and drilling -Electric hand tools for working with wood: el. hand drills, electric saws, electric planes, electric grinders for wood, routing machines, aku screwdrivers, sticky heat gun -machines for cutting wood: circular saws, band saws, milling machines, lathes -Concentrations of wood: - structural joints - Mechanical fasteners - Bonding wood -Wood, wood coatings. - Grinding and maintenance tools for working with wood -Facilities school workshops for the timber -Preparation of production
