Course objectives
At the end of the course student should be abble operate experimental verification of knowledge gained in lectures on the psychology of mental development of sub-mental qualities and processes of children at different developmental stages and examining the principle of development of these functions through a comparison of the results obtained. Students should abble also sketch psychological methods, and learn their application for future educational psychological diagnosis.
Syllabus
  • 1. - Basic methodological concepts and principles. - Rights of the Child and the general principles of psychodiagnostics. - Special features of educational psychodiagnostics at children and adolescents. 2. - Detection of attention characteristics level in childhood. - Developmental changes verification of differential thresholds at children. – Accession of the basic perception stages at children. 3. - Developmental changes verification of mechanical and logical memory preferences. - Development advancement of partial memory type performance. - The characteristics of selected dysfunctions. 4. - Development of concepts understanding (vocabulary) and the ability of their defition. - Recording of thought operations accession (analysis, generalization and abstraction). – Differences at developmental changes accession of thought operations between boys and girls. 5. – Representation of imagination character changes through the childhood. - Procedure of children drawings expresivity extinguishing. - Development of interest in the visual arts. 6. - Stability degree verification of the basal emotionality at children. – Use of "feelings talk" and "projection" in educational diagnostics. - Developmental changes detection of play activity. 7. - Motivation as a factor of attention tiredness. - Transformation of time perception at children. - Achieved qualities of will processes at children (level of ambition, the decision-making process, characters of will act, anticipating and planning). 8. - Social relationships development in the classroom (dependence on the group and maturity of identity). - Detection of accession and quality of friendly relations. - Developmental changes of emotional communication character (dynamics, subtlety and complexity). 9. - Accession verification of self-reflection developmental stages. - Empathy development and the judgment level of the others. 10. - Dynamics of change of selected units of “I” at adolescents. - Occurrence, focus and quality of introspection at adolescents. - Identifying the factors of the achieved level of self-management criteria. 11. - Examination of factors and changes of interest orientation. - The relationship of interests and professional orientation. - Characteristic changes of creativity. 12. - Verification of cognitive styles stability at adolescents. - Changes in reasoning autonomy and decisions independence. - Changes of the ratio of convergence and divergence thinking at problems solving (thought strategy). 13. – Ratio detection of imagination and rationality in the consciousness of children and adolescents. – Detection of relation of imaginative activities and level of social emotion. - Comparison of perception pervasiveness at children and adolescents (punch line understanding of images, stories, film, metaphors, symbols, etc.). 14. - Characteristic developmental changes of character types. – Relation of pro-social orientation and character of the project life-style. - Focus and structure of value consciousness of adolescents. 15 – Detection of the factors and consequences of fear and anxiety. - Developmental changes of the factors and manifestations of aggression. - Changes of tensions ventilation character at children and adolescents.
