Course objectives
The aim of the subject is the introduction to the study of all three disciplines, which in preparation of future teachers bring an integrative view of the specific issue of music transmission from the tribe to the tribe, education a qualified recipient of music of all kinds and genres, both in the personality and social dimension.
Learning outcomes
Students focus on the issues of music pedagogy, psychology and sociology as discipline. They understand their importance for future musical education. They are able to independently design partial research probes as a basis for their pedagogical work.

  • 1. Music pedagogy, psychology and sociology in the system of musicological disciplines 2. Historical aspects and contemporary concepts of music pedagogy, psychology and sociology 3. Comparative musical pedagogy (synchronous and diachronic), current problems of Czech and world music pedagogy 4. Music psychology / musical abilities, activities, creativity, human musical development, musical issues / 5. Sociology of culture, art, music 6. Social existence of music, music function 7. Basic research methods and techniques of musical sociology / observation, interview, questionnaire, poll, probe, sound questionnaire, modern research instruments: semantic differential, semantic selection test /, basics of statistical processing data, their sorting, tables, charts, interpretations, basic and sample sets, representativeness sample files: representative in statist. meaning, quasi-representative and unrepresentative 8. Musical preferences of children and youth 9. Place of music in the value orientation of youth, musical axiology 10. Problems of mass culture

Assessment methods
The lecture is optional. During the semester the student prepares seminar work (research project, field research, etc.) or essay. Upon admission by the teacher, the colloquium will be held as a discussion of this work.
